Support La Plantation’s social program
Our commitment to education
La Plantation has a social aspect that has been one of the pillars of our project since 2013, contributing to the economic development of our rural community. Les Écoles de La Plantation association offers free and quality education to children in rural areas around La Plantation in Kampot.
Cambodia is a country with a rapidly growing population, with half of its population being under 25 years old. Access to education for children is therefore crucial, especially in rural areas..
Primary school
Since the creation of La Plantation, Guy and Nathalie, the owners, have implemented a support program for the village primary school, which educates around a hundred children each year. But the real challenge is to give them the opportunity to access successful education, from secondary to university. In the Cambodian countryside, more than anywhere else, educating and schooling means giving hope to every child to become an adult capable of building their future and supporting their entire family.
We financially support the village primary school to enable more than 120 children to access quality education from a young age and to raise awareness about good hygiene and respect for their environment. We are committed to taking care of school facilities, providing bicycles, school supplies, and hygiene kits to children, as well as supporting teacher salaries..
Secondary school curriculum
Our program offers the most deserving students a scholarship to study the English and Khmer program at a private secondary school in Kampot. We transport these secondary school students to Kampot daily and fund all their expenses (tuition fees, breakfast, lunch, supplies, uniforms, tutoring). This allows them to focus on the success of their studies until the final exam.
Towards the university
We want to give students the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Our university scholarship enables students to pursue their studies until they obtain their degree. These students receive a recognized degree and qualification that will allow them to access high-value-added jobs and thus be an economic pillar for their family.
The Children’s House at La Plantation
The Children’s House is a privileged place for learning and discovery, where children can come to play, study, and enjoy our small library. Every week, we organize English classes, creative activities, and fun events.
