In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients for the Turmeric Syrup to the boil over a medium heat. Once the water is simmering, increase the heat to high and leave the liquid to reduce to a syrup for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Add the gin and turmeric syrup to a glass and stir. Fill the same glass with ice cubes, then add lime juice and ginger beer to the brim. Taste. Add more syrup to taste. Garnish with a slice of lime and the remaining Turmeric Petals.
