Our Traditional Mustard with Turmeric is the result of a collaboration with renowned French producer, Maison Clarance. Together, we have crafted this mustard using time-honoured methods, featuring premium-quality French mustard seeds celebrated for their refined taste and rich aroma.
The artisanal process, done using a traditional stone mill, ensures the mustard retains all its natural flavours while offering a coarse, textured finish typical of handmade mustards. This method preserves the pure taste of the mustard seeds, enhanced by the addition of Cambodian turmeric, giving this mustard a unique depth of flavour.
Turmeric, the golden root with many virtues, is carefully selected for its purity and delicate aroma. Traditionally used to add colour and fragrance to dishes, it lends a touch of exoticism and complexity to our mustard. The combination of French mustard seeds and turmeric creates a perfect blend, uniting the best of French tradition with Asian influences for a truly distinctive mustard.
The turmeric used in this mustard is meticulously harvested in Cambodia. Comprising small roots, it is immediately dehydrated and ground into a fine powder to preserve its freshness and exceptional aromas. This turmeric stands out for its high curcumin content (over 10%), which gives our mustard an unparalleled aromatic intensity.
