We present our Best of 2022
The return of tourism to our Kampot Farm
What a joy to welcome back many visitors to our Farm in Kampot, in the south of Cambodia! Since the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis, our visitor rate had unfortunately dropped drastically compared to 2019. But since the summer months, it is with pleasure that we find our dear visitors who come to discover the culture of Kampot Pepper, and our other spices, plants, flowers, as well as various activities and gourmet tastings! This is an opportunity for us to present our know-how and especially to share the importance of consuming in a short circuit, directly from the producer, as good for the planet as for the taste buds!
A new range of Sweet Sauces… Already rewarded
You probably know it: our range of sauces, which started with 5 hot sauces, has been extended this year! At your request, we have worked on a range of Sweet Sauces, full of exotic flavours, but without the spice. You will find the Tamarind Cinnamon, the Ginger Papaya, the Khmer Ketchup, our Duo of Wild Cardamoms… And also: our Khmer Roots Sauce rewarded by the BEST OF 2022 prize of the Gourmet Selection show, in the Sauces and Condiments category. For pepper lovers, we also worked on 2 sauces: with Black Kampot Pepper, and with Fresh Green Pepper, awarded again this year at the Prix Épicures 2022! A great year for our delicious 12 Spice Sauces.
A reunion at Taste au Paris
Our big return to the Taste au Paris show after several troubled years! For the second time, we had the pleasure of being present, side by side with the greatest French chefs, and to be able to show them and our dear visitors our very latest products. We look forward to seeing you there next May!
A full page for ELLE magazine and a programme shared with chef Guy Savoy
We are very proud to share with you this sublime full page feature in ELLE magazine, published in December 2022, which highlights our Chai Blend, star of the autumn/winter season, as well as our limited edition Gift Set: our Discovery Set, composed of the Chai, the Khmer Roots Sauce, as well as our beautiful wooden mill with a ceramic mechanism, and our iconic spice: the Black Kampot Pepper.
Also in December, we shared a radio show on France Bleu with the three-starred chef Guy Savoy. A unique opportunity to discuss Kampot Pepper and spices!
A spicy, two-starred meal at David Toutain’s
We wanted to share with you this beautiful moment in collaboration with the chef David Toutain, in his incredible restaurant in the 7th arrondissement. A meal in 7 parts, where each dish sublimates one of our spices or preparations. Among them, the divine buttered brioche with turmeric flower, the mallard with Long Pepper Leather, the yoghurt ice cream with Tamarind Cinnamon Sauce, and the blackberry tartlet with Red Kampot Pepper. A truly exceptional moment that we had great pleasure in sharing thanks to Chef David Toutain!
A Parisian Pop Up
And finally, our last big event of the year, our very first Parisian pop up! The opportunity to get together for the holidays, and to share with you our spicy gift ideas, to keep for yourself, or to offer to your loved ones! We hope to offer you a new meeting next year in Paris.
A big thank you to you, for your loyalty and your curiosity! We hope that this year 2022, despite its many twists and turns, was also full of gourmet delights and discoveries. The whole team wishes you a very nice New Year’s Eve, and a good start to the new year! Do not hesitate to send us your requests or questions for our Blog articles for 2023.
