After your visit to the majestic temples of Angkor, there’s a new must-see stop to add to your itinerary. Located in the heart of Siem Reap, our new shop is a true invitation to discover the finest spices of Cambodia, particularly the renowned Kampot Pepper, cultivated through sustainable farming practices.
LA PLANTATION COMES TO SIEM REAP
A prime location in Siem Reap, close to the temples of Angkor
Since founding La Plantation in 2013, our mission has always been to promote the ancestral skills of local communities and to share the culinary riches of Cambodia. Today, we are proud to offer high-quality spices, carefully cultivated with respect for nature and local traditions.
Our new shop in Siem Reap is a true gem—a warm, immersive space where travellers are invited to explore a unique sensory experience. Housed in a charming traditional wooden house, our shop offers you the chance to discover peppers, chillies, roots, and aromatic herbs from our plantations in Kampot. These spices, including several endemic varieties that have won numerous awards, are available directly from the producer. They come both from our own Kampot farm and our cooperative of neighbouring family producers, ensuring exceptional quality and perfect traceability.

We also have other points of sale throughout Cambodia, each offering a unique experience for those who wish to buy spices directly from the producer and learn more about our production methods.
The first shop, named La Salachan, located at the heart of the farm in Kampot since February 2016, offers you an immersive experience. After a free guided tour of our pepper plantations, you can purchase our spices through a short supply chain, directly from the farm. La Salachan, a traditional building overlooking the secret lake and Bokor National Park, provides an exceptional setting to discover our products.
You can also purchase certified Kampot pepper at our shop in downtown Kampot, a welcoming place where you can sample our spices on site or even take part in a traditional Cambodian cooking class. We are committed to offering you high-quality products while helping you avoid the local counterfeits that are often found in the markets.
Our Phnom Penh Shop – Since October 2023
In the lively Toul Tompoung (TTP) district, opposite the Russian Market, we have opened our shop and museum.
