A Fleur de Sel blend with
lemony notes
Our citrus blend is ready to use—simply sprinkle it on your dishes to impart a unique lemony note! This blend is composed of Kampot Fleur de Sel, naturally harvested by our neighbors in Kampot from family-owned salt marshes. It also includes Kaffir Lime leaves, harvested at La Plantation, cleaned, sun-dried for 2 days, ground, and freshly milled Kampot Black Pepper. The blend is immediately packaged to preserve all its intense flavors.
The lemony notes of our blend will beautifully enhance a steamed fish with a drizzle of olive oil. It quickly becomes addictive, and you’ll be tempted to try it with a variety of dishes, from appetizers to desserts—don’t forget to sprinkle it on cut fruits like melon or peaches.
You can also add it to:
- Generously sprinkle over grilled seafood for a refreshing lemony touch.
- Transform roasted vegetables into an irresistible side dish by adding our blend.
- Incorporate into rice cooking for a fragrant accompaniment that pairs perfectly with various dishes.
- Enhance the taste of fresh salads with a pinch of our Citrus Blend.
- Integrate into desserts such as fine chocolates, sorbets, or crème brûlée for a subtle lemony touch.
Kaffir Lime leaves, derived from the kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix), a citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia, add an exotic touch to our blend. Their intense citrusy fragrance harmoniously complements the Kampot Fleur de Sel and peppers, creating a perfect balance between freshness and warmth.
Kaffir Lime leaves are used in many Asian cuisines, especially in Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, and Vietnamese cooking. They are often added to dishes such as curries, soups, sauces, marinades, and even certain beverages.
In addition to their culinary use, some medicinal traditions attribute beneficial properties to Kaffir Lime leaves, considering them to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties at times.
