Our Ginger Papaya Sauce develops
fresh notes
Originally from the tropical regions of Central and South America, papaya is now cultivated in various parts of the world, including Africa, Oceania, and Asia, particularly in Cambodia, where it is harvested at full ripeness in Kampot.
Papaya is known for its oblong or oval shape and bright orange flesh. The fruit is also recognisable by the small black seeds located in the centre of its cavity. Its flesh is juicy, sweet, and slightly musky, delivering a distinct tropical flavour. Besides its delightful taste, papaya is valued for its nutrient content, rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, fibre, and digestive enzymes like papain.
Papaya is used in a variety of culinary creations, from fruit salads to smoothies, and cooked dishes. It takes centre stage in our new Ginger Papaya Sweet Sauce!
The Early Harvest of Ginger, the Second Key Ingredient of Our Sauce
The unique characteristic of Kampot ginger, central to our Ginger Papaya Sauce, lies in the early harvest of this spice, known as young ginger. Picked before reaching full maturity, this ginger offers exceptional freshness, standing out with its unique flavour profile.
The early harvest of ginger captures lighter aromas and a more delicate flavour compared to mature ginger. This young ginger brings a subtle spicy warmth, balanced by fresh and vibrant notes, creating a perfect harmony with the tropical sweetness of papaya in our Ginger Papaya Sauce.
You can experience the true taste of ginger, as enjoyed in Southeast Asia, particularly in Cambodia, with its nearly translucent skin and bursting with juice!

Our Ginger Papaya Sauce develops fresh notes with both fresh and powdered ginger, enhanced by the warm heat of long pepper and sweetened with papaya. Here are the key flavours it offers:
The fresh notes of ginger, present both in fresh and powdered forms, bring a delicious liveliness to the sauce, adding a dynamic layer to every bite. Papaya, with its natural sweetness, adds a sweet note to the sauce, perfectly balancing the spicier elements.
Red long pepper infuses a subtle yet distinctive heat, adding a spicy sensation to the other flavours in the sauce.
The vibrant acidity of lime juice brings a fresh burst, enhancing the complexity of the flavours and offering a well-balanced tanginess.
Cane sugar and palm sugar add a light, natural sweetness. Coriander and salt contribute to a subtle spice balance that intensifies the depth of the flavours.
This combination of ingredients creates a flavour-rich Ginger Papaya Sauce, perfect for enhancing a variety of dishes with its exotic and well-balanced blend.

Before each use, make sure to shake the bottle well. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent air from entering, which could compromise the quality of the sauce.
Avoid storing the sauce near direct heat sources, such as stoves or radiators, to prevent heat-induced spoilage. It is best to store it in the refrigerator.
By following these simple recommendations, you can fully enjoy Ginger Papaya Sauce while preserving its freshness and aromas.
